Dr. Deepak Choubey

Memory Trainer | Educator | Ph.D. in Psychoneurobics

Dr. Deepak Choubey is a dedicated memory trainer and educator who has spent the past 20 years helping people strengthen their memory, improve their approach to learning and build confidence in their abilities. His commitment to this work comes from personal experience: he understands how discouraging it can feel to study hard and still struggle to remember.

During his school and college years, he never considered himself exceptionally gifted. He spent hours poring over textbooks, working to understand lessons that seemed easier for others. Learning a single chapter often required considerable effort, and retaining it presented another challenge. Despite repeated revision, information would sometimes slip away just when he needed it most.

Examinations brought this frustration into focus. He would sit in the examination hall, searching for answers he had carefully prepared, only to find his mind blank. After leaving the room, fragments of those answers would begin returning. Those experiences left him with questions that would eventually shape his professional journey.

Why do people forget? What helps them remember? Could learning become a more manageable and rewarding experience?

After completing his bachelor's degree in Science, he pursued a master's degree in Mass Communication. During this period, his interest in the human mind began to deepen. He became increasingly curious about how people absorb information, retain knowledge and retrieve it when required. What started as a personal search for answers gradually developed into a lasting professional passion.

He explored memory research, retention strategies and recall techniques, seeking to understand their practical relevance to everyday learning. This interest led him to complete a master's degree in Psychoneurobics and subsequently a Ph.D. in the same field. His academic journey strengthened his desire to continue learning and share his understanding with others.

Over the years, Dr. Choubey has conducted more than 2,000 seminars and workshops exploring the mind, memory and learning. His work has brought him into contact with school students, teachers, doctors, engineers, civil service aspirants, sales professionals and people from many other backgrounds.

Working independently and alongside institutions, he has encountered learners with different goals but a familiar concern: wanting to remember more effectively and feel better prepared. These interactions continually remind him of his own student years and the importance of approaching every learner with patience, empathy and encouragement.

For him, memory training is deeply connected to confidence. When learners begin recognising their progress, they can approach previously intimidating tasks with greater willingness to practise and persevere. Supporting that process remains one of the most meaningful aspects of his work.

Today, Dr. Choubey works alongside Anil Kumar through Memory Olympiad Foundation to bring this purpose to school students across India. Together, they aim to make memory training accessible and engaging, combining guided learning with opportunities to practice, participate and challenge oneself.

His journey began with the frustration of forgetting. It continues with a commitment to helping others discover better ways to learn.

Difficulty remembering is a starting point, never a final judgement of what you can achieve.
